Projecting your memories

THE picture on left was printed in our Dundonian supplement and we asked if anyone knew the people. We received these responses: IN the photo taken in 1984 in the ABC cinema projection room, the man on the left is manager Justin Myhill. After the ABC shut down he moved down south, I think to a cinema in London’s West End.

THE lady in the photograph is Mrs Winifred Bawol (pronounced Bavol).

THE gentleman on the left is Justin Myhill (manager), then Mrs Winnie Bawol (manageress) and Billy Daily (projectionist). I worked in the ABC from 1986 to1999. Before that I was in the Victoria Cinema from 1971-1985.
