Will voters heed this new warning?
JUST under two years ago the ‘Yes’ campaign told us we would be the sixth richest nation on the planet.
We were to be better off to the tune of £800 for every one of us — providing we said yes to independence.
At the same time, the pro-Union group Better Together claimed tough times would lie ahead if we were to vote yes.
They were accused of scaremongering.
Now an SNP MP has made a public statement agreeing with Better Together’s assessment, admitting we should expect ‘painful’ times should we decide to go it alone.
I wonder if voters will heed this new warning should a second referendum ever happen.
