Chasing for Cole Harden

-

COLE Harden still appears likely to embark on a chasing career in the autumn, with trainer Warren Greatrex issuing an upbeat report as he continues his comeback from injury.

The seven-year-old won the World Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2015 but could finish only fourth in his defence of the title back in March.

His season was then cut short after sustaining a knee injury in the build-up towards a shot at the Liverpool Stayers’ Hurdle at Aintree.

Although yet to tackle fences in his 17 career starts to date, Cole Harden is as short as 20-1 for next year’s RSA Chase.

Greatrex said: “I want to find an easy novice chase as he’s had hard races the last two seasons. It would be good to start in an easy race.”
