Funds raised for Kenzy

MORE than £200 has been raised for a young boy awaiting a vital liver transplant.

As the Tele reported on Wednesday, seven-yearold Kenzy Oliver of Arbroath was placed on the transplant list as a high priority after a checkup at the beginning of the year revealed the liver condition he was born with had brought on a serious breathing problem.

He requires regular check-ups at Ninewells Hospital and King’s Cross Hospital in London, and staff at Kenzy’s school, Warddykes Primary, have set up an online fundraising page to assist with his family’s travel costs.

The target is £1,000, and so far a total of £217 has been raised for the brave youngster.The school also plans to hold a raffle.

The person who set up the page said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated money and raffle prizes.”

Kenzy’s dad, Nicky, said the help the family has received from Ninewells Hospital and Warddykes Primary has been “amazing”.
