TWO events are set to take place i n Dundee next month as part of t he Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

The talks will both be held in the Bonar Hall in the Nethergate on Friday October 21.

The first, called “Mind Your Head” begins at 3.30pm and will last for an hour. It will look back on this year’s headlines about the huge increase in the number of children being prescribed anti-depressant­s, and about schools and NHS services struggling to cope.

Authors Juno Dawson and Cat Clarke will have a discussion about the difficulti­es faced by young people today.

The second talk takes place at the same location from 5pm-6pm, with literary critic Stuart Kelly and a panel of experts discussing William Shakespear­e’s fascinatio­n with mental illness.

They will look at how his observatio­ns stand up four centuries on.
