Souttar joins Potters

Sticking to gameplan can earn Tangerines a victory

-

United are to take three points back to Dundee.

The Frenchman has scored five goals in his first four appearances in a tangerine shirt and is a constant threat to opposing teams.

Neil Lennon will have done his homework and knows what a threat the former Hamilton man is.

But he can give the Hibs defence a difficult time with his link-up and runs into the box.

At the centre of the home side’s backline is Darren McGregor, and he is a tough-tackling defender.

With Andreu’s quick thinking and movement, he may be able to expose McGregor’s lack of pace by running in behind United’s other striker and the Hibs centre-back.

The way Lennon sets his side up, there may also be a hole that develops in front of their back four.

This could enable Andreu space to receive the ball in a pocket in a dangerous area.

That will allow him to link up with his team-mates and get shots off at goal.

These games are never won or lost on paper and a whole variety of positional changes and formations could provide sticking points for both teams.

However, if United keep to their game plan and win the personal battles all over the park, there is no reason why they can’t come back from Edinburgh with a win, three points and a load of confidence after overcoming the title favourites on their own patch. HARRY Souttar’s protracted move from Dundee United to Stoke City has finally been completed.

The paperwork that held up the transfer has now been dealt with and the 17-year-old giant central defender is living the dream with t he Potters i n t he English Premier League.

The deal should earn the Tangerines around £200,000 and t he Tannadice club wished him well.

In a statement, t hey confirmed: “Dundee United today announce the transfer of defender Harry Souttar to English Premier League club Stoke City f or an undisclosed fee.
