Gomis set for Dundee recall

-

KEVIN Gomis is set to be recalled to the heart of the Dundee defence for tomorrow’s game against Celtic.

The big Frenchman has missed the last two games following his red card against Hamilton.

However, with the Dark Blues shipping six goals in the losses to Aberdeen and Inverness, Gomis will be restored to the backline in a bid to keep out the champions.

Another player available after suspension is Mark O’Hara and his return is timely given the absence of Tom Hateley.

It had been hoped Hateley would be fit to play despite having to go off with a groin problem last week.

But it’s now been revealed his injury was worse than first feared.

“Tom went for a scan and he’ll be out for at 10 days with a groin i n j u r y,” confirmed manager Paul Hartley.

“But Kevin and Mark come back i n. I feel we missed them last week, so they will be key to us.”

The Dee manager accepts his team are massive underdogs for the clash but he is confident they can step up to the plate.

“For our players it is a good game to be involved in. They will be written off but I expect them to perform.

“The players will l ook forward to pitting their wits against a top team.

“We have a good enough squad t o compete and that’s what we will be asking them to do tomorrow.

“They will have to roll their sleeves up and make it difficult for Celtic.”
