Charities share £250k

TWO Dundee charities have secured funds totalling almost £250,000.

The Boomerang Community Centre and Dundee and Angus ADHD Suppor t Group Scio received the grants from the Big Lottery Fund.

A total of £244,094 will be split between the two organisati­ons, which work across the city and Tayside.

Boomerang Community Centre, in Kemback Street, received £145,298 to develop the services and facilities it runs for people living i n the Stobswell area of the city.

The centre plans t o extend its opening hours and work with local people to identify further services and activities that would be of benefit to them.

Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group Scio, which is based in the M a n h a t t a n Wo r k s , Dundonald Street, will use its £98,796 to hire a project manager to run and develop its programme of activities.

Scio provides a support group for children with ADHD and their families.
