Missing prisoner traced

AN inmate who absconded from Castle Huntly Prison near Dundee four days ago has been found by police.

David Arthur, 31, did not return to the prison i n Longforgan after being released on a temporary period of leave.

Police said Arthur had conviction­s for violence and warned members of the public not to approach him. He was found in the Paisley area.

Meanwhile, police have renewed their appeal for informatio­n regarding the whereabout­s of 41-yearold Mark Chung who also absconded from Castle Huntly.

He was reported missing at 10am on Monday October 3.

It is believed that Chung has connection­s i n the Glasgow and Merseyside areas.

He is described as 5ft 9in tall, of stocky build with a shaved head. He speaks with a Merseyside accent.

When last seen he was wearing glasses, a grey sweatshirt, grey jogging bottoms and black and grey trainers.
