Fiona’s honour
A DUNDEE foster carer has been recognised for her outstanding contribution at the Fostering Excellence awards in London.
Fiona Bruce, 50, from Linlathen, was “honoured” to receive the award after becoming a foster carer five years ago.
The mother-of-two and her husband Dave moved to a specially adapted house in the city to become the main carers of a young boy with complex health needs.
Fiona has also provided help to other parents with emotional and practical support in caring for their own children who have disabilities.
She said: “I was honoured to receive the award. It was an opportunity to thank my family as well.”
