There’s a lot of Tosh in Kirrie win
KIRRIE Thistle beat visitors Whitletts Vics 3-1 in the Scottish Cup.
Nathan Tosh put Kirrie in front on nine minutes before an own goal made it 2-0 on 21 minutes.
Tosh then made it 3-0 on 35 minutes withVics grabbing a late consolation through substitute Kris Kerr. Jeanfield edged a dour tie at home to St Andrews. The only goal came when Tony Holt rifled a shot into the top corner of the Saints net.
Luncarty were 4-0 up at the interval against visitors Fraserburgh with the goals coming from Darren Gray, John Kelly and Richard Doig (2, 1 pen). The Highlanders pulled one back early in the second half but the Bleachers saw the game out comfortably.
Scone Thistle were away to North Region side Inverness City and were 2-0 behind at the interval
But whatever was in the Scone tea at interval certainly worked as they hit five without reply to march into round three. Kevin Sinclair, Kenny Hynd, Abi Nije (2) and Gary Mackie were their scorers.
Kinnoull lost 2-1 at home to Glasgow Perthshire, who led 1-0 at the interval. Rhys Davies equalised on the hour mark but, nine minutes later, Fraser Malcom scored what proved to be the winner. Coupar Angus lost 5-3 at home to ForthWanderers. An injury-ravaged Forfar West End were left to rue missed chances as they lost 2-0 at home to Culter.
Scott Black put Brechin Vics ahead against Sauchie. However, the Premier League leaders went on to win 4-1.
ArbroathVics lost by the odd goal in seven at home to Whitburn.
