DONS DESPERATE TO REGAIN CONFIDENCE

-

ABERDEEN defender Shay Logan is eager to get back to winning ways quickly with a cup final and battle for league places up ahead.

The Dons have lost 1-0 to both Hamilton and Celtic since sealing a Betfred Cup Final place against the Ladbrokes Premiership champions.

With only two games left until their Hampden return, Logan is determined to rediscover that winning feeling when they face Partick Thistle at Firhill tonight.

Aberdeen are also looking to reclaim second place after being overtaken by Rangers last weekend.

Logan said: “Coming off two losses we want to go into the final with a bit of confidence.

“These next six points will be crucial to keep us in a good position. We are coming off two defeats which maybe shouldn’t have happened, but they did and we kick on to the next game.”

While Aberdeen have suffered a double setback, Thistle have kick-started their season. Less than three weeks ago the Jags were level on points with bottom club Dundee as the Dons sat in second place.

But a home win tonight would put the Maryhill team just two points behind their opponents.

Logan added: “They are flying so they will be full of confidence.

“We are coming off the back of two losses so we need to go there and pick up a good result. It’s set for a good game.”
