IN the second session of the Midland Men’s Indoor Hockey Division One at the Douglas Sports Centre, Menzieshil­l II beat Monarchs I 9-5.

This included five goals by Menzieshil­l’s Chris Wilson and four by Monarchs’ Callum Boag to give ’Hill the lead on goal difference over Dundee Wanderers who had a 10-0 win over Monarchs I who played without a keeper. Bobby Ralph was Wanderers top man on six.

Wanderers II beat Harris I 5-1 with Callum Ross (2) the top scorer.

The next Division One session is on November 24 when Inverleith are involved.

On Thursday, Division Two returns to action with Monarchs II v Wanderers III, Harris II v Wanderers IV and Menzieshil­l III v Monarchs II.

Scores in the second session of the Midland Ladies Indoor were onesided with only one competitiv­e game when Kinross had a 4-2 win over St Andrews University.

Other scores — Strathalla­n 9 Monarchs 0 and Wanderers III 0 Wanderers I 15.

Tonight’s games — St Andrews University v Grove and Monarchs and Wanderers II v Wanderers III.

The Ladies Division One National League starts on Friday with MJV Dundee Wanderers required to play Edinburgh University in Edinburgh (8.30pm) and Grove Menzieshil­l with a 7pm start against CALA.

On Sunday, Dundee Wanderers welcome Watsonians (Dalnacraig, noon) and Grove host Edinburgh University (DISC, 2.30pm).

On Saturday, Division Two games include St Andrews University v George Heriot’s and, on Sunday, Dundee University visit Stirling University. The St Andrews students are away to Granite City Wanderers

In the men’s National League One on Saturday, Menzieshil­l visit Watsonians. On Sunday they are away to Clydesdale.

In Division Two, MJV Dundee Wanderers play Dundee University and Harris FP host Inverleith (DISC, 11.30).

Division Three includes Perthshire v Monarchs. In Regional Two, Menzieshil­l II are away to Edinburgh University II.
