Saints keen to keep run going

-

ST JOHNSTONE are at home t o Ross County tomorrow.

The Perth men won 2-0 in Dingwall earlier this season and are looking to extend their unbeaten run over County to six matches.

A win could take Saints second in the Ladbrokes Premiership if they win and other results go their way.

Chris Millar i s again missing from the McDiarmid Park side’s ranks. His hamstring tear means he is out for another three weeks.

Murray Davidson is making a rapid recovery from his ankle injury but is unlikely to be risked.

It’s more likely he’ll face Inverness Caley Thistle at home on December 3.

As he looked ahead to the Ross County fixture, Saints boss Tommy Wright said: “Our opponents may be bottom of the league but this is a very tough game for us.

“They showed i n their last game against Rangers just how good a side they can be.”

Saints’ last three matches at McDiarmid Park have yielded a win against Dundee and l osses t o Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle.

The Perth men are keen to get another home victory on the board.

“We’ve had the international break and are looking forward to getting back playing again. The players got a rest during the break before coming back and working hard,” Tommy added.

Keith Watson continued his return from injury in the Development League side’s 2-1 l oss against Hibs at Airdrie.

Despite taking an early lead through Scone teenager Joe Johnson, Saints saw their run of three consecutive victories in Development games come to an end. Hibs’ goals came from Jack Breen and Oli Shaw.
