AT the Midland Ladies indoor hockey, St Andrews Univ. were late call-offs.

In a replacemen­t game, brought forward from January 24, Grove had a 6-0 win over Monarchs and both have 10-0 walkovers from unplayed games.

Wanderers II had an 8-3 win over Wanderers III and share top place with Kinross.

Tonight’s games are Strathalla­n v Kinross, St Andrews v Wanderers III and Monarchs v Wanderers II.

This weekend the National League is beginning to run down as the indoor season approaches.

For the men, only Division One has a full schedule on Saturday which includes Menzieshil­l v Uddingston (DISC, 1.10).

Other games are Hillhead v Grange, Gordonians v Clydesdale, Watsonians v Kelburne and Edinburgh Univ. v Western Wildcats.

Dundee University v Dunfermlin­e is one of two Division Two games and, in Division Three, Perthshire host Univ. of Strathclyd­e on Saturday.

Ladies Division One has a nearly full programme which includes Kelburne v Dundee Wanderers and MCC Western v Grove, Hillhead v Western Wildcats and Watsonians v Edinburgh Univ. On Sunday it’s Erskine SM v CALA.

In Division Two, St Andrews Univ. host GHK and, in the Championsh­ip, Grove II play MCC Western II (DISC, 2pm).

Championsh­ip B includes Dundee University II v Kelburne II (Riverside, 1.30), Erskine SM v St Andrews Univ. II and Strathclyd­e Univ. I v Perthshire I. On Sunday the St Andrews students visit Strathclyd­e I.

There is a full Midland League programme with men’s Division One on Saturday and Division Two on Sunday. Both the ladies Division One and Two play on Saturday.

Grove-Menzieshil­l U/18 boys are really busy in the Boys Club Cup games.

They have three qualifying matches on Sunday against Clydesdale, Inverleith and Hillhead and, if they are successful, a semi-final and final at a later date.

The qualifying games were due to be played throughout this week but pressure on HQ meant a change.
