and that has probably carried over from last season, too.

“We had a good result against Motherwell and we need to keep that going.

“Hopefully, that result will kick our home form on.”

Reflecting on Saturday’s defeat to Rangers, where they lost to an injurytime goal, Scott believes there are thin lines between winning and losing.

“All the lads put in a great effort and it is fine margins.

“We had a couple of chances and on another day we might have actually nicked it. We were more than worthy of a draw.”

The former Alloa stopper also thought, compared to other games he has played at Ibrox, this one was less eventful for him.

He credits that to his team-mates in front of him protecting his area with grit and determination.

“Compared to the last twice I’ve visited Ibrox, this was a lot quieter. It was down to the boys and the huge effort they gave.

“The organisation was brilliant and that was key to how well we played.

“We worked hard from the front with Marcus (Haber) and Craig (Wighton) putting in a shift and also getting us up the pitch when we got the ball.”

The keeper also felt after the work they had put in it was tough to take losing that late goal.

He said: “It was a sickener really, especially when you see the workrate the boys put in from start to finish.

“I thought we were going to hang on but just one lapse in concentration and they punish you.” ARBROATH boss Dick Campbell said his team will “have a right go” in their away Scottish Cup tie against Clyde on Saturday.

The Gayfield side won the recent league meeting between the clubs 4-0 in Arbroath but Dick states that result has no bearing on Saturday’s fixture.

Clyde are second i n League Two and Arbroath are one place behind — and Dick is expecting a tough encounter.

“We know it will be a difficult game but we will have a go at Clyde as we seek to win through,” he said.
