Ann asks Santa to find her a man this Christmas

- BY LINDSEY HAMILTON

ALL Ann Muirhead wants for Christmas is a date with her very own Prince Charming.

And fed up with the normal ways of capturing the heart of — hopefully — the future love of her life, Ann has enlisted the help of the Tele.

In the build-up to the festive season, she has written her very own letter to Santa Claus.

But, instead of sending it up the chimney, she thought she might have more success if her appeal was published in the paper.

Ann, 54, said: “I’ve spent hundreds of pounds on dating columns and ads but still not found love.

“I decided to try a little further afield and have put an ad in the Tele to see if my future love could be waiting for me in Dundee.”

Ann said she thought it would be fun to compose her quest for love in the form of a letter to Santa.

She said: “It’s getting close to Christmas so I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.”

Her unique letter to Santa reads: “Dear Santa, Could you kindly bring me my very own romantic prince for Christmas?”

Ann describes herself as “quite attractive with a lovely personality”.

And what attributes should her Prince Charming have?

He needs to be trustworthy and very romantic and hopefully he will also share Ann’s love of travel, music, cinema, dining out and going to the ballet and the opera.

And she’s not just looking for a quick fling.

Ann is hoping that friendship might lead to a long-term romance.

She said: “I’ve been on my own for 14 years.

“I would really love to meet someone that I could spend the rest of my life with.

“My ad is a bit of fun but I would genuinely like to meet someone that I can have a relationship with.”

Ann, from Leven, said she was married between 1986 and 1991.

After her marriage ended, she dated but her last long-term relationship broke up 14 years ago.

She said: “I’ve not met anyone else that I’ve found true love with.

“Hopefully, Santa and the Tele can fix that.”
