Hectic schedule ahead

THIS weekend the National Indoor has a near full schedule with the Men’s Division One-Three on Saturday and the Ladies One-Three on Sunday.

Start times vary from 8.45am for the Ladies Division Two at DISC to 10.15am for the Ladies Division One at Forthbank.

The men’s earliest start is 9am at DISC for Perth v Dundee Wanderers in Division Two.

Perth also play Watsonians, while Wanderers have Granite CW and Menzieshil­l II to contend with. In the nine-game schedule, Menzieshil­l’s other opposition is Falkirk.

Division One is at the Bell’s Main Hall with a 10-games schedule including Grange v Menzieshil­l (9.15am), Kelburne v Menzieshil­l (12.55pm) and Inverleith v Menzieshil­l (5.30pm).

Division Three in the Bell’s Coaching Hall includes Monarchs v Wanderers II (10.10am), Clydesdale II v Harris FP (noon), followed by Wanderers II v Kelburne II, Harris v Monarchs is at 2.25pm and Wanderers II v Harris FP is scheduled for 4.35pm to end the day.

On Sunday, MJV Dundee Wanderers Ladies, at Forthbank, have an 11.10am game with Western, then play Inverleith at 1.55pm. MJV end the day against CALA at 5.35pm.

Grove play Bon Accord at 12.05pm and MCC Clydesdale at 4.40pm.

Division Two includes Wanderers II with two games and Grove II with three. The pair face each other at 12.35pm at DISC.

Perthshire Ladies open the Division Three sixgame programme with Grange as the opposition in the Bell’s Main Hall at 9.15am. At 12.55pm, Kelburne II are Perthshire’s opposition.

It will be interestin­g to find out which clubs take the indoor format seriously this season as it seems to have been scheduled over a restricted period.
