Gomis poised for Dee recall
KEVIN Gomis looks likely to return at the heart of D u n d e e ’s d e f e n c e in tomorrow’s home game against Ross County.
“Gomis is back and is going to be OK for tomorrow,” said boss Paul Hartley.
The big Frenchman missed l ast weekend’s defeat to Killie after flying home to be at the birth of his child.
His absence coincided with a poor performance at Rugby Park and Paul Hartley may revert to the starting line-up which has won the last two games at Dens Park.
There was encouraging news for Mark O’Hara, who has been out of action since October.
The combative midfielder has been given the green light to return to some light training.
“O’Hara did a bit of light training with us yesterday,” added Paul.
“He had a little setback with his groin and probably needs another 10 days or so.”
Having seen a specialist last week, the manager stated there should be no more concern over t he injury.
“It’s j ust t he normal things with a hernia. He is fine running but gets a little pain with kicking,” said Paul.
“He is feeling much better and, hopefully, he is OK.”
James Vincent, who was withdrawn before half-time, has trained this week and seem to be over his illness.
The Dee boss continued: “Vince trained after being ill last week. He picked up a bug and didn’t feel great before the game.
“He wanted to give it a go but he had no energy.”
Nick Low also put himself in contention to be involved after playing for the Development Squad on Wednesday.
He came t hrough t he game without picking up any injury, so should make the bench.
