Aquatic athletes are recognised
THE Menzieshill Whitehall Water Polo Club Christmas family social and presentation night was held in Fairfield Bowling Club’s George Prescott function hall.
George was a leading official and swimming coach with Whitehall in the 1950s and 1960s.
Menzieshill and Whitehall amalgamated in 2003.
George coached Robert Screenan to 12 Great Britain swimming titles, two Commonwealth Games and the Olympics in Helsinki in 1952.
He was president of the Midlands District and the Scottish Swimming Association.
Water polo winners for 2016 were presented with their trophies.
