A DUNDEE man has scooped £2,500 in a national bingo game.

Jack Law, 44, of Lochee, was taking part in the nationwide game at Cashino’s Adult Gaming Centre on the city’s High Street when he struck it lucky.

He won £2,501.62 after calling on an amazing 47 numbers — becoming the first person to win a national prize in a Cashino venue.

Jack said: “I was delighted when the National Bingo Game started here – although I never dreamed I’d win it.

“I’ve been popping into Cashino for the last 10 years or so and I really do love it.

“The staff are great, I’m friendly with a good few other regulars and nothing beats winning a few quid while having a good time.”

Jack added: “You are playing against thousands of people in hundreds of clubs across the UK, so being a winner feels a bit like I imagine how it would feel to win the National Lottery.”

James Grant, Cashino Dundee’s venue manager, congratulated Jack on his big win.

He said: “Cashino first took part in the National Bingo Game in mid-2015.

“Finding out we were the first Cashino to win a national prize was exciting enough.

“When we also discovered we were the first non-bingo hall to win the national prize the champagne corks really were popping.”

The National Bingo Game is a multiple game of bingo, operated by the National Bingo Association, that has been running since 1986.

It is played twice daily in about 200 bingo halls and clubs across the country and the biggest prize ever won was £1.3 million in 2008.
