IN the North League, North End made a winning start to the year when they comfortabl­y beat bottom club Lochore 3-0 with Dayle Robertson bagging all three goals.

Kinnoull had the best of the first half in their clash with East Craigie and deserved to go in at the at break 1-0 up, Robbie Norrie was their scorer.

However, two quickfire goals by Nik Mann had the Shipbuilde­rs in front after the break and it took a Kieran Donald strike eight minutes from time to level matters.

Lochee Harp and Coupar Angus produced a feast of goals, with the Foxhall club prevailing i n a seven-goal thriller.

Sam McDonald scored a brace for the hosts and Joe Colquhoun got their other. A double from Alex Gibb plus goals from Chris Liversedge and John Miller saw the visitors take the points.

Kirrie Thistle had to come from behind after Richard Doig had given Luncarty the lead at Westview Park.

But it was a comfortabl­e victory eventually for promotionc­hasing Thistle, winning 6-3.

Darren Scott, Adam O’Connor, Stewart Russell and Bryan Duell were on the scoresheet alongside two own goals for the Angus men.

RESULT of the Week — FORFAR WEST END show no sign of letting up in their quest for promotion from the Premier League, their latest success being a 4-3 win over Violet at Glenesk.
