Bleachers stun Dokens late on

-

NORTH End managed to get their North League match against Luncarty on, although it turned out to be a disappointing outcome for the Dokens.

All the action came late in the game with the omens looking good for Andy Heggie’s side when Ryan Smith gave them the lead.

But their joy didn’t last long as Reg McLaren fired in an equaliser for Luncarty then Darren Gray hammered home a winner for the visitors from 20 yards.

Scone Thistle moved up to second after a 3-1 win over Blairgowrie.

Mark Brash put Blair ahead in 33 minutes but Arron McKay equalised just before the break. Thistle then went ahead in 58 minutes from a Fraser Mills penalty.

Thistle secured the points when Sean Whitworth headed past the keeper to make it 3-1.

Brechin Vics lost 3-1 at home to Kinnoull. Goals by TomWhyte and Gordon Norrie had the visitors two up inside 15 minutes. Vics reduced the leeway with a Paul Taylor free-kick in 49 minutes.

However, midway through the half, Robbie Norrie clinched the points for Kinnoull when he made it 3-1.

Arbroath Vics won their first home game of the season but did it the hard way, coming from two down to defeat Newburgh. A Steven Harris goal gave Newburgh the interval advantage and Liam Keiller doubled the lead early in the second half.

However, three goals in a 15-minute spell from Kyle Findlater, Kellon Lyons and Rikki Gillespie brought Vics that long- awaited home win.

Forfar Albion came from two down at Lochore Welfare to savage a point.

Owen McCabe pulled one back before the break and Mark Caldwell scored Albion’s last-minute leveller.
