Chance to Embrace screening

DUNDEE cinema goers are being urged to attend a one-off film screening — or the show won’t go on.

Documentary movie Embrace will be screened a t D u n d e e ’s O d e o n Cinema on International Women’s Day, March 8.

The film follows Australian mother Taryn Brumfitt’s exploration into why so many woman hate their bodies.

The screening will only go ahead if organisers are able to secure a further 24 tickets sales before Sunday.

Karen Low from Forfar, one of the organisers, is urging people to reserve tickets to highlight an issue which affects women worldwide.

The movie follows Ms Brumfitt’s crusade exploring t he i ssue of body loathing.

In 2013, she posted an unconventional before and after picture of her body.

Her story gained worldwide recognition and sparked an international media frenzy.
