£250,000 request for fleet
DUNDEE City Council is hoping to spend close on £250,000 replacing lawn mowers and other gardening equipment.
Members of the council’s city development committee will consider a recommendation from committee director Mike Galloway that they agree to spending the money on the vehicle fleet.
A report to go before the councillors stated: “All items included in this report are part of t he ongoing review of plant and vehicle assets held by the council.
“They will contribute to the overall savings identified by the Changing for the Future Project.”
The report says a series of items of equipment will be replaced i ncluding three grave diggers, which the authority says no longer meet the needs of staff.
The report added: “Particular consideration has been given to operational needs, environment a l i m p a c t , r e l i a b i l i t y, performance, operator compatibility, after sales service and user experience.”
