Man to stand trial on driving charges
A MAN is to stand trial on driving charges.
Matthew Paton, 32, of Sandeman Street, denies that on November 30 on the A92 Arbroath to Dundee road, Balgillo Road East and Rossie Avenue, he drove a car with excess alcohol (58 mics).
He also denies that on the same day on the A92 between Panmurefield Village and Balgillo Road East he drove a car at 66mph in a 40mph zone.
Paton is accused of failing to stop his vehicle after being requested to by police on the same day in Rossie Avenue.
The last charge alleges Paton drove dangerously and at an excessive speed within a built-up residential area in Rossie Avenue on the same day.
An intermediate diet was set for February 28 for a new agent to represent Paton.
