’Port are looking to settle a score

-

TAYPORT have a score to settle with Kennoway, who visit The Canniepairt.

The visitors won the last Fife derby by the odd goal in five and, as the season unfolds, it’s a vital match for both clubs as they eye up promotion.

Kennoway are currently second top of the league on 43 points, 12 points ahead of ’Port, but John Ovenstone’s side have three games in hand.

Ovenstone’s only absentee is StuartWalton, who is suspended.

Elsewhere, Violet will be hoping to chalk up what would be only their third win of the season in the Premier League.

However, they face a tough task against Sauchie, who have lost only once this season and are also in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

The Pansies will again be without Barry Wilson, Gavin Hood and Kevin Scott.

Table-topping Forfar West End head to Arniston and are again without long-term casualties Liam Godfrey and Mathew Reynolds, while Connor Ireland is an injury doubt.

Meanwhile, West End have released goalkeeper Gary Grant and defender Michael Bell.

Downfield play host for the second year running to Bonnyrigg Rose in the East of Scotland Cup.

The Spiders gave a good account of themselves last season when they were still in the North League and were a shade unfortunate to lose 2-1.

They will hope to go one better this time but will be without Mark Bannon, due to a knee injury, while Robert Smith and Ross Gallagher are cup-tied and James Thompson is on holiday.

St Andrews get a break from their battle to stay out of the Premier drop zone with a trip to Musselburgh Athletic in the East of Scotland Cup.

At stake is a third-round tie away to another topflight club, Newtongrange.

Saints hopes are hit by having no less than six players cup-tied.

In addition, Ryan McInnes is injured.
