Terrors are 100% ready vows Willo

NO motivation is needed tonight according to Dundee United’s Willo Flood as he challenges his team-mates to build momentum ahead of the campaign climax.

In his own words it’s the biggest match of the season and one that could reignite the Tangerines’ Championship title charge if they can grab a win.

Victory would see United four points behind leaders Hibees with a game in hand — next week against St Mirren — and would mean the race for automatic promotion to the Premiership would be back on.

Flood, though, realises how tough taking on Hibs will be and wants United to bring their “A game”.

He said: “It’s a massive game, the biggest of the season.

“We need to make sure we bring our A game to get any sort of a result tonight.

“It’s coming near the end of the season now and there’s a lot to play for.

“We know if we can go and get a good result, then we can carry momentum on from now until the end of the season.”

There’s also an element of searching for redemption after they were easily dispatched by Hibs at Easter Road the last time the two sides met.

It finished 3-0 that day but Flood reckons, on home turf, United will be a different proposition for the league leaders.

He added: “We let ourselves down and let the club down the last time we met Hibs.

“We just didn’t play well enough on the day but we’re a different team at home and I think anybody can see that from the results we’ve had this season.

“We need to make sure we start on the front foot and let’s get at them from the start.”

United are a different side at home, as Willo says, and showed that the last time the two met in Dundee with the Tangerines running out 1-0 winners.

They have the best home record in the division and are unbeaten in all competitions at Tannadice this season.

However, they came within seven minutes of losing that record in the recent 1-1 draw with Morton with
