Glasses add to Red Nose joy

ON Friday’s Red Nose Day, supporters of the event in Dundee can accessoris­e their claret conks with a pair of comedy waving hand glasses.

Priced at £2 and i n stores now, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief.

The glasses come i n adult and children’s sizes.

To ny C a f f r ey, s t o r e director at Specsavers in Dundee, said: “The glasses are fantastic and we will be encouragin­g everyone who buys a pair to also j oin our giant Mexican wave on social media as well.

“Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWav­e to receive your very own wave back.”

Specsavers in Dundee has j oined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and has pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.

Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
