Funding to help local local communities
THREE local groups i n Dundee and Fife have received grants of £102,488 between them.
Using money raised by HealthGift CIC, through the Health Lottery, grants were awarded by People’s Health Trust through Active Communities, a f unding programme that invests in local people and groups with great ideas communities.
So far, HealthGift CIC has raised more than £1,421,624 to support local good causes in Mid Scotland.

Active Communities is for community groups and notfor-profit organisations with an i ncome of less than £350,000 a year that are seeking investment of between £5,000 and £50,000 for projects.
Among the groups to benefit is Different Visions Celebrate, which will receive £26,630 to enable young people from the LGBTI community in Dundee to be able to meet safely, socialise and share information.
The other two groups to benefit are the Link Up Lunch Club in Whitfield, which will receive £31,783 and the CLEAR Buckhaven project that delivers events and activities in Buckhaven. It was awarded £44,075.
