School congratulated
A FIFE school is making great strides when it comes to fitness.
Wormit Primary has been named as the most active in the region for the second year running after it topped the Walk Once a Week programme in the Fife Festival Walk of Fame.
The initiative encourages schoolchildren to walk or cycle to school and Wormit Primary — one of the first participants in the programme — continues to be one of the top performers by consistently having 70% or more of its pupils involved in the scheme.
Local councillor Tim Brett congratulated the school on its latest success, adding: “We all know the benefits of being active and I think that Wormit Primary is an example to us all to adopt more active lifestyles.”
