Boss Gormley may have to don his boots

-

MICHAEL Gormley may have to look out the boots again as the Harp manager faces a selection dilemma ahead of their home North League fixture against Thornton Hibs.

The Beechwood manager will be without six players due to a mixture of injuries and suspensions.

Darryl Gowans, Joe Colquhoun, Sam McDonald and Gordon Ramsay are all out with hamstring injuries while Derryn Kesson and Mark Kelly are suspended.

Gormley has fixed up a trialist to bolster his squad and is also working on a loan deal to tie up another player before tomorrow.

East Craigie have now gone eight games since their last defeat and they will be confident of extending that run at Newburgh.

With 10 games still to play, the Shipbuilders aren’t completely out of the promotion race although they would have to win most of their remaining matches and hope that teams above them falter to have any chance.

However, if they keep on picking up points, it keeps the pressure on and, with a full pool available, they will be confident of picking up the points against the Fifers.

The last time the sides met turned out to be a seven-goal thriller with Craigie just edging it by the odd goal.

Newburgh are hoping to end a run of six games without a win, the last being a 3-0 win over Kinnoull.
