Praise for childminder

A DUNDEE childminder has received a glowing report from after an unannounced visit from the care inspectorate.

Irena Thomson was graded excellent for quality of care and very good for environment after the inspection. Seven children from three to 11 attend the service.

The report stated: “The childminder had created a relaxed and most welcoming atmosphere where families were valued and respected.”

H o w e v e r, s h e w a s graded adequate for quality of management and leadership.

The report added: “The childminder needed to develop the recording and documentation aspects of her service.”
