Cull unlikely to happen
IN the Tele letters page regular contributor Mr J Borland made comments about a problem with gulls and what had happened to the supposed cull.
It probably will not happen as I think it would constitute a heavy fine as it is now against the law.
Apparently there has been a change in the law regards the culling of gulls and other so called pests as they are now in the protected species category.
Only in very rare circumstances is a licence granted to eradicate with a cull as other humane methods must be used, ie don’t leave food to attract them and buildings must have measures to prevent nesting etc.
