‘The guys put it on the line’

-

DUNDEE CCS Stars coach Marc LeFebvre was, naturally, delighted with his side’s success.

He said: “The guys put everything on the line on Saturday.

“We knew we had to get two points to secure seventh place and we did that.

“We were in a commanding position at the end of the second period and we certainly made it interesting in the final one.

“It was a nerve-racking period but I’m so proud of the guys to get over the line and making the play-offs.

“In Dundee last night, we had a few guys with niggles and it was pretty much a nothing game for both teams.

“The most important thing was to come through the game and not pick up any injuries as we head into this week’s play-off games.

“We now know we have to face up against Braehead, who are a great rival for us.

“We have had some great results against them this season and they had the same against us.

“The are a great team and are Conference champions for a reason. However, it’s the play-offs and anything can happen.”
