CANNING LOOKS FOR TWO WINS IN A ROW
BOSS Martin Canning is looking for Hamilton to record their first back-toback Premiership wins this week as they continue their battle for survival.
Accies came off t he bottom of the table on Saturday, two points above Inverness, with a 1-0 win over St Johnstone at the SuperSeal Stadium.
Alex D’Acol’s last-gasp winner against the Saints, who had Richard Foster and Danny Swanson sent off at the i nterval after clashing with each other after the half-time whistle had sounded, was t he home side’s first win in four games.
Hamilton face Lanarkshire rivals Motherwell tomorrow night at Fir Park and Canning is looking to enjoy t wo successive league wins for the first time this season.
He said: “The only thing we haven’t done this season is put back-to-back wins together and go on a run and we have to try to do that.
“It would be a great time in the season to go and hit that form and get those back-to-back wins.
“We have Motherwell, Ross County and Dundee now, which i s the three teams directly above us in the league.
“It is going to be a huge three games coming up and every game between now and the end of the season is a huge game.
“But they are winnable games. We have to give it everything, we have to attack teams and make sure we are positive.”
