Saints are looking to take it to the max

-

ST ANDREWS’ north-east Fife derby at home to Tayport is the first of three games that will decide Saints’ fate.

Though seven points better off than Whitburn in the drop zone, the Lothian side have six games in hand, so Saints boss Craig Morrison is targeting nine points from their remaining games.

While acknowledging that may seem over ambitious, given they are without a win in seven outings, he feels if they reproduce last week’s form when drawing away to leaders Kennoway, it is achievable.

Other than the injured Lee Duffy, Saints are at full strength.

’Port will be without Kieran Conway through illness, while player/manager John Ovenstone and Sergio Alvarez are both suspended.

Downfield host leaders Kennoway.

Paul Marr is waiting for fitness reports on a couple of players but will again be without defender Mark Bannon.

Downfield will have little time to dwell on Saturday’s result as they are in action league again 48 hours l ater after arranging to play their postponed East of Scotland tie against Bonnyrigg on Monday night at Downfield Park (KO 6.15pm).

Forfar West End head to Armadale and must fancy their chances against hosts who are seemingly fighting a losing battle to stay up.

Violet have a free week.
