Kirrie gaffer wary of trip to Beechwood

-

IN the North League, Lochee Harp face one of the day’s toughest tasks when they take on league leaders Kirrie Thistle at Beechwood.

Michael Gormley’s side were a bit unlucky to lose to East Craigie last Saturday but suspensions and injuries will, once again, hamper the manager’s team selection.

Connaire Connelly and Liam Roddy are suspended, while keeper Peter Garty is out injured.

To add to Gormley’s worries, Mark Kelly, Joe Colquhoun, Darryl Gowans and Gordon Ramsay are all struggling with injuries and face late fitness tests.

Although Kirrie won the first meeting 3-1, Harp gave Jim Finlayson’s men one of their toughest games of the season.

And the Westview boss, who has a full squad, is taking nothing for granted.

North End manager Ross Lunan will be out to preserve his team’s unbeaten record since he took over when they head to Blairgowrie.

The sides drew 1-1 when they met earlier in the season.

Lunan could again be without Euan McIlvenny and Robbie George.

Having returned to winning ways at Forfar Albion last week, the Berrypickers hope to build on that tomorrow.

Blair are again without injured pair Greg Donald and Danny Millar, while Robbie Hood and Gordon Pirie are unavailable.
