Fast-track course on business

A ONE-week i ntensive business course for aspiring women entreprene­urs is to take place next week.

The Fast Track Start-up Business programme has been designed to make peoples’ business visions a reality.

Those taking part will get the opportunit­y to learn key principles of business that will inspire and encourage them to drive forward their business dream.

At the end of the course those involved will have written their own business plan and prepared a presentati­on, which they will then ‘pitch’ to a panel of business experts.

Following t hat, t hey will become part of the Coca-Cola 5by20 Dundee Community — a global initiative that offers a wide range of support, advice, networking opportunit­ies and supplier benefits.

The programme takes place from April 24-28, from 9.30am-4pm.

A Police Scotland spokeswoma­n said: “Officers attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A923 Coupar Angus Road in Dundee.”

The injuries to the lorry driver are not believed to have been serious.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We got a call at 1.20pm to a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Coupar Angus Road.

“We sent four appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the scene.”

A MAN has been charged in connection with an accident on Kingsway.

Police were called to the Pitkerro Road circle on Friday after a white BMW M3 crashed into a roundabout around 5.45am.

Traffic travelling in the area was delayed, with police blocking off part of the roundabout as the car was winched onto the back of a recovery vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident. A spokeswoma­n for the force said: “Police Scotland can confirm a 28-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
