Training for motor industry
TWELVE budding apprentices in Dundee will be revving to go with the Arnold Clark Group this summer.
The apprenticeship programme offers 16 to 19-year-olds the opportunity to learn skills and gain a recognised qualification in the motor industry.
Apprentices will receive on-the-job training at an Arnold Clark branch and attend a number of weeklong training blocks at one of the company’s GTG Training centres.
Many apprentices have the opportunity to move on to more senior roles after qualification, including supervisory and management positions.
Apprentice recruitment manager Suzanne Sherry said the organisation is keen to introduce a younger workforce t o Arnold Clark.
She said: “‘This move demonstrates our continued commitment to the apprenticeship scheme and to creating new jobs for Scotland and Dundee.
“We are very keen to introduce a younger workforce to the Arnold Clark family.”
