Water polo finals weekend at Olympia
THE Scottish water polo cup finals take place at Dundee Olympia on Sunday, starting at 10am.
In the U/16 Dave Balbirnie Cup, Menzieshill play Stirling.
The U/21 Malta Cup sees Dunfermline meet Portobello.
Other fixtures include: Boys U/18 Willie Mellor’s Cup — Menzieshill v Dunfermline; Senior Women Graza Trophy — Edinburgh University v Dunfermline; Senior Men Scottish Cup — Dunfermline v Portobello.
Presentations of medals and trophies will take place after each game.
The ASA national age group finals will take place at Manchester Aquatic Centre this weekend.
At the European Union U/18 Championship,s held in Brno, Czech Republic, Scotland finished eighth out of 12 teams taking part.
Swimming
The Scottish Masters Short Course Championships will take place at Inverness this weekend.
At the British Championships being held in Sheffield, Scottish swimmers were among the medals.
Hannah Miley (Aberdeen University) won the 400m individual medley, the third successive year she has held the title.
Stephen Milne of Perth won silver in the 400m freestyle, while Scott McLean won bronze in the 50m backstroke.
Ross Murdoch (Stirling) was second in the 100m breaststroke.
Carrie Scott (Edinburgh University) took 50m breaststroke bronze, while Craig McNally ( Edinburgh Warrender) won bronze in 50m backstroke.
Nicky Miller ( East Kilbride) won a silver in the 200m junior freestyle.
