SNP would be in power

-

FURTHER to the letter from Rod Selbie in which he believes “my country deserves to have the government of our choosing, not a government foisted upon us by another country”.

I can only assume he realises that we would be governed by the SNP for the foreseeable future even though the majority of Scots voted to stay in the Union.

In the current voting system, however, it will always be SNP as the maths dictate that a minimum of 48% of Scots will vote SNP and the 52% are split between four or five different parties.

No contest.

Concerned voter.

IN 1979 the Labour Party was in power. I was led to believe that they needed one vote to keep them in power.

Gerry Fitt, from Northern Ireland, could have, if he wanted to, voted for Labour but he abstained and didn’t travel to Westminster for the vote. This put Mrs Thatcher in power.

I am a nationalist and always have been — I am a proud Scot too. I’m proud of my fellow Scots for voting SNP. It’s people who make the country.

I don’t slate anyone for their opinions. So to the other “Proud Scot” I ask why the need for the stairheid rammy attitude?

Remember hate is bad for your health.

cotland forever.
