FIFE College has installed defibrillators at each of its campuses.

The public will be able to access t he equipment, used to treat anyone suffering from a cardiac arrest.

The defibrillators were funded by the students’ association and have been installed at the reception area of the campuses in Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Rosyth and Levenmouth.

The college said it recognised that a cardiac arrest can strike anyone at any time and that a rapid response can increase the chances of survival.

Alastair Leadbetter, Fife C o l l e g e ’s h e a l t h a n d safety manager, said: “The defibrillators will be totally accessible to all students and staff.”
