Water centre work starts

WORK is under way on a Dundee water sports centre.

Foxlake Adventures is due to open a wakeboarding course at City Quay this summer, having been granted planning permission by Dundee City Council earlier in the year.

Fencing has appeared around paving on t he quay’s West Victoria Dock Road, with construction teams carrying out work.

A spokesman for the council said: “These are setting-up works for the site compound i n preparation for the establishment of the centre.”

It comes despite a formal objection from the nearby Apex Hotel.

Dunbar-based outdoor activity company Foxlake hopes to offer wakeboarding l essons and group experiences and several ancillary outdoor activities.
