Success for the ladies

THE Scottish Ladies squad had a couple of warm up games at the weekend.

On Saturday, they had 3-1 win over Ladies National League Division One winners Edinburgh University with goals from Sarah Jamieson, Kaz Marshall and Fiona Burnett.

On Sunday, opposition was Grove Menzieshill Ladies who were 2-0 up at half-time. However, the national squad won 3-2.

Like their men’s team, Grove-Menzieshill Ladies are heading for the European Club Trophy competition at Munich from June 2-5.

Scotland’s O/40 and O/50 men were in action in Ireland at the weekend.

The O/40s finished with a 2-2 draw against Ireland O/40 who finished top followed by England, Scotland and Wales.

The Scottish ladies squad has three friendly games this weekend against Wales at the National Hockey Centre in Glasgow at 7pm on Friday, 1pm on Sunday and 11am on Monday.
