Hats off to special Hoops

-

I EXPECT Celtic to complete a quite remarkable season by lifting the Scottish Cup on Saturday

If they do, they will have completed the domestic campaign unbeaten.

I say ‘if’ but, no disrespect intended to Aberdeen, it’s as close to a ‘when’ as you’ll get in football.

And for me it will be a fantastic achievement by the Hoops.

People can talk about the difference in resources when it comes to them but, if they go a whole season without losing a game, it will be something special from Brendan Rodgers (above) and his players.

They can only beat the opposition that’s put in front of them and they’ve done that in style.

It’s hard to recall a bad performance from them in the Premiership or two domestic cups.

That’s something other teams — like Dundee — can learn from.

They are never going to be as good as Celtic but what they can do is mirror the way the champions are always close to their best.

IF Celtic are undisputed top dogs up here in Scotland, Chelsea are surely the same down south. Having clinched the Premier League in England with room to spare, I expect them to complete a great season by beating Arsenal on Saturday to lift the FA Cup.
