A HANDFUL of Dundee first-teamers are in limbo at the moment as they wait to hear who is likely to be their manager for the new season.

Interim boss Neil McCann met with managing director John Nelms yesterday to discuss the possibility of a full-time role.

With responsibilities still to Sky Sports, where he works as a pundit, McCann is mulling over the jump into t he Dens hotseat permanently.

Most of the playing staff at Dens are on longer-term deals but there are four whose deals end next week.

Two have been given a regular run under McCann with Nick Ross starting the last two matches of the season, although he was subbed after just 29 minutes as t he gaffer changed systems at Hamilton.

Kevin Gomis has also featured more prominently of l ate but missed t he Hamilton game with a muscle tear.

Fellow centre-back Kosta Gadzhalov is also out of contract next week, while No 2 goalie David Mitchell looks to be on his way with Morton registering an interest i n the f ormer Stranraer man.

Others with unclear futures i nclude strikers Rory Loy and Yordi Teijsse as well as midfielder Nicky Low, who have all been out on loan for the second half of the season.
