Dods praises board

BRECHIN manager Darren Dods admits he was thrilled to deliver promotion after praising t he board f or sticking by him during the dark days last season.

The former Dundee United and St Johnstone defender masterminded the part-timers’ return to the Championship with a weekend penalty shoot-out victory over Alloa in the play-off finals.

And Dods i nsists the G l e b e Pa r k d i r e c t o rs deserve credit f or not sacking him last February when the Angus outfit were 10 points from safety with 10 games to play.

City won eight of those matches to avoid the drop.
