Menzieshill Whitehall grab top award again
MENZIESHILL Whitehall Swimming and Water Polo Club have been awarded the highly-acclaimed SwiMark Plus accreditation for a second time.
The award demonstrates the club are leading t he way i n setting new standards for swimming i n t he community including strong coaching and effective management structures.
SwiMark is Scottish Swimming’s national quality accreditation programme for clubs and swim schools.
SwiMark plus is the highest accreditation awarded and successful achievement confirms that Menzieshill Whitehall has demonstrated a commitment to creating a sustainable swimming development pathway, operates a safe, effective and child friendly club while providing a service in the community that children and young people, their parents/carers, and others with an interest in swimming can trust.
Club official Audrey Milne said: “As a club we have been involved with the SwiMark Accreditation Scheme since 2008 when we were the third club in Scotland to be awarded the accolade.
“In 2009 we achieved the SwiMark Plus accreditation, further enhancing our reputation.
“It is an ongoing process to ensure we comply with the standards required by Scottish Swimming to maintain the highest available award and therefore we are delighted to have again achieved accreditation of our SwiMark Plus certificate.
“However, it is a double celebration as, in 2016, we signed a partnership agreement with Scottish Swimming to deliver the National Framework for Swimming in Scotland within our Learn to Swim programme.
“This has its own accreditation over and above that of the club and we are delighted to announce that we have also achieved the SwiMark Plus certificate for our Learn to Swim programme.”
