Weekend of fun at Forthill

A FUN weekend for all the family looks set to raise money for a Dundee charity.

For thill Community Sports Club Beer and Music Festival in Broughty Ferry was kicking off today with an array of bands, children’s entertainm­ent and a BBQ for those in attendance.

The two-day event will start from 5pm with 12 bands lined up to perform.

Kids will have entertainm­ent in the form of magicians and bouncy castles and there will also be more than 20 l ocal beers available and a prosecco and gin bar for the adults.

Dundee-based Help for Kids i s set t o benefit from the event — a charity which l ooks to support vulnerable and disadvanta­ged children in the city.

Kenny Crichton, commercial manager at Forthill Community Sports Club, said: “We have tried to make it a real local event from the bands performing to the selection of beers available.

“It’s set to be a great weekend and it’s all for a good cause.”
